1. Open the Olyns mobile app, go to the Olyns Marketplace. ( Don't have the app yet? Click here to download)
2. Make sure you have the latest version of the Olyns app ( v3.0.0).
3. Browse the prizes and select the ones you want to compete for (yes, you can choose to compete for several prizes, but you can only win one prize.)
4. Recycle at any of four select Olyns Cubes in Walnut Creek in July to earn points toward those prizes.

If you’re one of the first to hit 115 points, you’ll win the Starbuck's card – but your 115 points are now spent and since there is a limit of one prize per person, you're done.
Pro tip: If your heart’s set on a high-value prize, don’t sign up for a smaller one unless you're okay with only winning the smaller one.
Even if you hit the required points for a specific prize, you won’t win unless you’re one of the first to do so.

It's easy: 1 deposited bottle or can = 1 point. Remember: Contest-eligible points can only be earned at the 4 participating Walnut Creek Cubes between July 1 and July 31. Containers dropped off at Customer Service don’t count. Containers must be CRV eligible.
You can view your contest-eligible points on the Recycle to Win contest leaderboard. These points can only be earned from deposits made at 4 Walnut Creek Cubes between July 1- 31, 2025.
Your total lifetime points are visible on the Home Page of the Olyns app. In most cases, this point total is NOT the same as your contest eligible points. Your lifetime point total represents points earned from deposits at any Olyns Cube at any time since you started recycling with Olyns, minus points previously used for prizes or rewards.
Because the Olyns app shows your lifetime points earned from CRV deposits at ALL Olyns Cubes, minus any prizes/rewards you previously claimed.
The Contest Leaderboard only show points from CRV deposits at 4 select Walnut Creek Cubes earned between July 1–31 .
There are a variety of prizes available. The number of prizes of each type varies. For example:
Once a prize is claimed, it’s removed from the Marketplace and is no longer available.
Yes! But be strategic.
Once you win a prize, your contest-eligible points reset.
So if you select a boba drink (10 pts) and a spa treatment (100 pts), and you're first to hit 10 points - you win the boba, but start back at 0 for the spa.
You’ll get an email from Olyns within 48 hours of reaching the point requirement with prize details and redemption instructions.
Unfortunately, prizes are first - come, first - won. If you reach the point goal after others have already won the prize - it’s gone.
If this happens, you can signup for another prize. And remember that any unused contest points remain in your account after the contest is over and can be redeemed for everyday marketplace rewards.

Only points earned from CRV deposits made between July 1 and July 31 are contest eligible. Points from deposits made before July 1st do not count towards the contest, however they can be redeemed for eeryday prizes in the Olyns Marketplace.
The new Marketplace is available only in the latest version of the Olyns app (v3.0.0). If you're using an older version, you won’t see the updated Marketplace. To access it, simply update your app to v3.0.0 on the App Store or Google Play.
