How to get started with the Recycling Cube:

1. Download the Coke Recycling app on your phone.

You can get the app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Search for “Coke Recycling” or scan the QR code below.

2. Create an account in the app.

Be sure to complete the email verification step to activate your account.

3. Add Coke Recycling card to your Apple or Google Wallet.

Sign into the app and follow the instructions to add the Coke Recycling card to your Apple or Google Wallet. Once the card is on your phone, you can check in to the Recycling Cube and start depositing containers.

4. Check in to the Cube before you start recycling.

Hold your phone up to the NFC logo above the circular bottle deposit opening. The Cube will automatically check you in using the Coke Recycling card in your Apple or Google wallet. Depending on your phone, you may need to use FaceID, PIN, or Thumbprint ID to open your Coke Recycling card.

Once you're checked in, you'll see your name on the small screen in the upper right corner of the Cube, and you can begin depositing containers.

You do NOT need to be in the Coke Recycling app to sign in to the Recycling Cube.

5. Deposit beverage containers into the Recycling Cube.

Completely insert each container one at a time into the round, illuminated receptacle opening. The small screen in the upper right corner will keep count of each container that you deposit.

6. Earn reward points for each container you deposit.

You will be rewarded with points for each container you deposit. Points will automatically be credited to your account in the Coke Recycling app. You can view your reward point balance on the app’s home screen.

7. Redeem reward points for coupons and merchandise.

Use the Coke Recycling app to redeem your reward points for coupons and merchandise. On the Home Page, select the Redeem button under your reward point balance to go to the in-app market, where you can exchange your points for coupons and merchandise.

Answers to common questions:

The Coke app says "Powered by Olyns". Who is Olyns?

Olyns is the Silicon Valley technology company that powers the Coke recycling experience. Coke has partnered with Olyns to launch Olyns’ turnkey recycling solution at select locations in Georgia.

What containers can I deposit in the Recycling Cube?

The Recycling Cubes accept clean, uncrushed aluminum and plastic beverage containers.

Can I deposit beverage containers that aren’t Coca Cola brand?

Coca Cola is sponsoring the Recycling Cubes, however aluminum cans and plastic bottles from most beverage brands can be deposited for recycling.

Can I deposit glass bottles?

The Recycling Cube does not accept glass. It does accept most plastic bottles and aluminum cans.

What happens to the beverage containers I deposit ?

The Recycling Cube separates deposits by type - aluminum and plastic - and compresses them. When the Cube is full, the material is taken to a processor to be recycled into new containers.

Can I deposit crushed containers?

The Recycling Cube does NOT accept crushed containers as they may get jammed inside the Cube and cause maintenance issues.

Why does the Cube display the messages: "Crushed Aluminum!" or " Crushed Plastic!"?

One of these messages appears when the container you are attempting to deposit is crushed and therefore not eligible for deposit. The Recycling Cube does NOT accept crushed containers as they can get jammed and cause maintenance issues.

Where are the Recycling Cubes located?

Tap the Find button on the home screen of the Coke Recycling app for a map showing Recycling Cube locations and addresses.

How do I know if a Recycling Cube is open and available for deposits?

Tap the Find button on the home screen of the Coke Recycling app to see the real time fill level and availability of each Recycling Cube. Blue means available, orange means filling up fast, and red means full/closed for maintenance.

How do I report an issue with a Recycling Cube?

Each Recycling Cube is in constant communication with Olyns HQ so our engineers can monitor various functions, including fill levels, mechanical issues and software issues. Maintenance crews are dispatched when issues arise.
